Christian Education Ministry Mission Statement

a. It shall be the purpose of the Christian Education Ministry to develop an effective program of religious education for the entire constituency of the Church in keeping with the general objective of Christian Education.
b. It shall be responsible for planning and administering the total education program of the Church, including Church School, youth activities, educational program of leadership education, distribution of Christian literature, and fostering Christian home life. It shall also cooperate with other groups and ministries of the Church to plan educational activities to enhance the effectiveness of their ministry.
c. The responsibility for the funding of Christian Education shall be that of the General Church.
d. The Christian Education Director shall be elected by the congregation and a member of the General Board.
The Sunday School Superintendent shall work in harmony with the Christian Education Director to ensure operation of the Sunday School. The Superintendent shall administer the program of education as prescribed by the Christian Education Director. He/She shall make certain that the following procedures are adhered to:
(1) Methodology for Sunday School education is according to predetermined guidelines as prescribed by Christian Education Director.
(2) Timely operation of Sunday School with prescribed hours.
(3) Scheduling of teaching resources (teachers in accordance with the needs of various classes).
(4) Provide timely feedback to the Christian Education Director concerning the Sunday School operation.
(5) Order prescribed learning materials for timely distribution. The Christian Education Director shall determine the materials needed to fit the projected learning goals.
(6) Serve as an integral part of the Christian Education Ministry.
